Elect Brian Smith and fighting socialist TUSC candidates in Glasgow For a socialist recovery from Covid, a mass campaign for indyref 2
Brian is the secretary of Glasgow City Unison which has a proud record of fighting for its members and the wider working class in the city. Brian, as well as defending workers' rights, has also played a key role in community campaigns in Glasgow. Joining Brian on the list are fighting trade union, women’s rights and student activists from across the city.
Like all Scottish TUSC candidates, Brian has pledged to take on a skilled workers' wage if elected as an MSP, donating the rest back to trade union and socialist movement. Unlike the SNP, Labour and the Tories we are fully dependent for funds for this campaign on working class people.
We want to be able to reach the maximum number of workers and young people with socialist ideas during this campaign. Please help us reach our target so we can produce leaflets and other campaigning material.
This campaign isnt just about the Holyrood election in May, or raising Scottish TUSC's profile for the vital council elections next year. The outcome of this election is likely to trigger major battles over the right to indyref 2 and workers struggles against the bosses. Crucially a new mass workers party is needed as a weapon to conduct that struggle. Your donation to our campaign is a key step towards that goal.
