Hiring a mobile video screen to show the Tory conference what disabled people think of them.

New stretch target

With more money we can get a bigger screen and make more videos to an accessible standard.

Manchester Disabled People Against Cuts  plan to have a mobile giant video screen with sound on a van to tour around the Tory conference presenter and around the city on Monday 4th October. We will be showing videos of disabled people telling the government what they think of their appalling failure to protect our human rights. We are doing it this way so that people still at high risk from Covid and have to shield can be included in our protest. Disabled people will say what they want the government and the wider public to know about realities of being disabled in 2021 and about how we were three fifths of deaths from Covid while being only one fifth of the population. And what over a decade of austerity and hostile policies have meant for us and how we will not be silenced. We Resist!

We also plan a mass zoom meeting which will be recorded and shown on the screen too. For videos (one or two minutes ideally) we have set up a drop box for people to upload them to>

Mass Zoom meeting to record and show on the big screen will happen on Wednesday 22nd Sept at 7pm email [email protected] for invite!
