I have been invited to perform my live art piece ‘bare disability’ in London on 29th March at the THEMSELVES.
Being severely disabled and on low income I need to raise £400 to enable me to attend.
£ 90 for a return rail ticket to Plymouth.
£120 support worker, £9 per hour for 14 hours.
£180 for 2 rooms at a premiere inn, one night.
I am very aware that it’s very late to start raising financial help but the organisers have just responded to my numerous emails.
Although I have applied to many festivals to present my work I find having a very bad speech problem and. not being able to talk on the phone, festivals theatre / dance companies do not engage with me.
For this reason I do not want to pass up this performance opportunity and I would be grateful if you could offer me any assistance?
