An exclusive dining experience

We are the most exciting, unique and exclusive dining experience available in the Three Counties. Our Professional Masterchef Finalist Chef, Scott Barnard creates amazing dishes right in front of you. We are a  small, intimate and relaxed venue looking to grow to bring our experience to more potential guests. We have found a new venue to move to, we just need a little push to get the ball rolling.

We bring our guests the best cuisine and service possible in the most relaxed, informal way. Too many of the top end restaurants are stuffy and un-accessable which we feel detracts from the dining experience. Our guests often dine with total strangers and finish the night with new friends.

We know what we're doing

Born in 1985 into a long line of restauranteurs, hoteliers and publicans Luke spent his early years growing up in the original Crockers. Started in the late 80’s by Luke's father he would spend weekends and school holidays “helping” in the kitchen. He chose a different path out of school but was drawn back into hospitality at 22. A baptism of fire followed, moving to London and working under some of the best chef’s in the world. 

How it all began

In 2015 Luke moved out of London back to Berkhamsted to settle down, get married and start a business. Combining his skills as a chef and a personal trainer Luke started to create customised meals for clients. Shortly after, he was asked to cater a dinner party, little did he know would be the start of Crockers Chef’s Table. The summer of 2016 was a busy one, fully booked at weekends cooking in guests houses for them and their friends. We quickly moved on with our plans and converted the old bakery in Potten End into our 10 seater chef’s table. Why a chef’s table? It’s totally different to anything you can find in the area. All of the big restaurants in London Luke worked in had one as part of the restaurant and he liked the interaction and intimacy. We are now bringing that experience only found in London out to the Three Counties. 

Where will the money go?

The money that we raise through crown funding and independent investment will be used to fund our new venue. We have secured a site nearby to move our current chef’s table into. It will give us the scope to really grow into the experience that we know we can become. Increasing to 15 seats and with a cocktail/wine bar we will be taking Crockers to another level.
