Welcome to the Crimsham Farm Pound A Person Pledge.

Who Are We?

Crimsham farm is a collective group of people from the local community, who have come together to pool their resources and collective knowledge in order to create a one stop shop to solve a huge variety of needs currently lacking support in our community.

Why A "Pound A Person Pledge".

Most organisations like ours rely heavily on funding and grants in order to function day to day, we want to be different. We are here to benefit the community we are in and believe that they in turn can help us. Through the generation of revenue streams created by businesses made from the site, such as our pre existing pig club, our tea rooms, hiring of the Glamping Pods during key times of the year, SEN Projects etc etc, we are able to generate enough cashflow to operate the site completely NET neutral. This means that we can provide access to the site and its facilities for free.

So, all we are asking for, is a simple £1 per person, to help us get the basic facilities we need in order to build all of the above and make this dream a reality. A £1. A quid. Thats it. For your £1, for life, you will be helping a child with Autism overcome their sensory fears, you will be saving a Veterans life by providing them and their family with a break they so desperately need but can ill afford, you will be providing that elderly neighbour with a community of like minded people to spend their days with, you will be opening up a world of love and joy to your children when they spend time with our micro pigs, the list of benefits is endless and all it will cost is a pound. There is nowhere on earth, that you will find better value than that.

Who Are We Going To Help And How?

The primary group we aim to help are Armed Forces Veterans and more importantly, their Families, from not just our Community, but from all over the country. The suicide rate among Veterans is abhorrently high, the stress of life with someone who is suffering with PTSD, Anxiety or Depression, three of the most common mental illnesses among Veterans, is beyond understanding, so, we are proposing a Veterans Respite Centre, formed of 10 Glamping Pods in our wood block, facilitated by showers, toilets and a communal kitchen and provided at no cost to Veterans or their loved ones.
In addition to this, and most importantly, we have teamed up with All Call Signs to provide the charity with a Home Town RV. It all started here with Danny, it's only right that the heart of what we do is done in his memory and is lasting.
The provision of this RV will enable Veterans from all over the country to gather and release themselves from any undue stress or issues they have, whilst simultaneously accommodating their families, providing a working farm with animals for them all to spend time on together. Point to note, there is not other project providing this at present, family based therapy through animal husbandry.
Most importantly, we will have trained mental health professionals working out of the RV who can assist with critical needs signposting, suicide prevention and assistance for all manner of issues. A true one stop shop for any Veteran in crisis.

We will also be focussing a huge part of the project on SEN and inclusion students from the local schools. As we all know, education is a struggle, however, 30% of all students in our area (thats tens of thousands) are not receiving the education they need, because the current educational programmes, simply do not meet their needs. As such, and in conjunction with 11 local schools, we have created a tailored plan to provide a customised facility to meet the needs of these students.

Our other project plans include PigKeeping Clubs, Chicken Club, Junior Famers, Community Allotments, the list goes on. The most important thing to remember, is it is all for free.

At no stage will there be an admission price, we will simply ask people to donate if they are able. The remainder of our revenue will be generated by businesses operating from the site, and via the SEN Provision.

Effectively we will end up with our very own working farm, open to the public year round, that targets individual groups who require assistance and provides this for them!

Site Facilities

As well as the Glamping Pods and All Call Signs RV, we will also have a Tea Rooms, Small animal petting Zoo, forest school, outdoor classroom, endangered species breeding programme, sport therapy centre and a whole selection of rare breed animals including Reindeer, Alpacas and more. Again, access to the farm will be free and unlimited, you can come any time you like!!!

What We Need?

So, to the meat of it. We need welfare facilities. We need a temporary toilet block and a temporary shelter from the elements. Once we have these two little things in the form of container units, we can open our site up to schools and generate a sustainable revenue which we can use to build every other aspect of this site. Anything raised beyond the cost of this, again, will be used on the site. Nowhere else, no holidays, no directors dividends, just the community project and the community to benefit.

This is a Veteran led project, managed by ex forces and people with learning difficulties. We will be mentoring people with learning needs letting them run with the day to day operation under our acute supervision.

We will not sit on a bank overflowing with surplus money, we will fund other community enterprises, we will lend money to those in need, we will expand and reach into the community through our engagement initiatives and we will always, be clear and transparent with how our funds are spent.

For any expense, we need not only directors approval, but the approval of a board of 12 unrelated people who will authorise expenditure, no one can rule the roost, the community decides.
