Inspire children to respect their environment and not litter by providing a copy of Crash On Planet Trash to every primary school in Suffolk

by Jason Alexander in Rushmere St. Andrew, England, United Kingdom

New stretch target

If we reach our initial target and get a copy of Crash On Planet Trash into every primary school in Suffolk we won't stop there. Help us reach our stretch goal of £3,500 and we'll provide a copy of the book to as many pre-schools and nurseries in Suffolk as we can.

Help inspire children to respect their environment and not litter with this fun and colourful book for every primary school in Suffolk.

The way we live our lives and the choices we make is having a massive impact on the environment. Every day we hear new stories about how our actions are negatively affecting every part of our planet. From marine life in our oceans to the wildlife visiting our gardens.

There are many complex issues we need to address but one of the most common, and one that affects us all, no matter where we live, is litter.

One of the best ways we can tackle this is by inspiring and educating future generations about the harm littering and waste can have on the planet and provide them with the knowledge and understanding of simple things we can do to stop it.

Blip And Boom To The Rescue!

Crash On Planet Trash is about a pair of lovable aliens called Blip and Boom who build themselves a spaceship and then blast off into outer space on an adventure but unfortunately they soon find themselves in trouble and crash on a planet covered in trash.

The rest of the story follows their journey across the planet to find a way to escape.

The book ends with a section highlighting Blip and Boom’s top 10 tips on things any of us can do to reduce our impact on the environment.

Only with your help can we truly bring these lovable characters to life and share them with every primary school child in Suffolk.

Thanks for your support and let’s help Blip and Boom escape from Planet Trash.

About The Author

Hi, my name is Jason and I’m the founder of Rubbish Walks CIC. We’re a small social enterprise, based here in Suffolk, and we work tirelessly trying to raise awareness about the issues of single use plastics, litter and waste in general.

One of the key ways we do this is by engaging with, educating and inspiring as many children as we can.

I’ve written a number of poems and stories relating to environmental issues and there’s one in particular that I’ve been keen to publish for a while. I fell in love with the characters as soon as I’d written them but I needed help to bring them to life.

About The Illustrator

Hi, my name is James. I’ve been battling periods of depression and severe anxiety from an early age and I had always found it hard to find a way to cope.

That’s until I discovered the healing power of drawing… and a hidden talent for expressing my feelings through my artwork.

I am also passionate about the environment. Having a young niece and nephews, I worry about what their future holds based on our current obsession with ‘stuff’. Things we don’t really need. Things that we use once and then throw away.

So I decided to start creating a series of images to help highlight some of the key climate issues we face today.

Jason spotted some of those images online, reached out via social media and the rest is history.
