Due to the governments choice to vote against kids free meal vouchers for the holidays and over Christmas my aim is to help these families

by Jordan Mattinson in Moresby, England, United Kingdom

As many of you will of now seen on the news and via social media the government including our local MP Trudy have voted against free school meal vouchers during the holidays. At a time when the country and millions of people are suffering financial hardship I personally find this an appalling decision.

my aim is to raise funds and food donations to make sure that all children in Copeland DO NOT go without food this Christmas, the festive period should be to enjoy and be happy, not worry about where you next meal will come from.

People have asked me about giving me cash donations which I appreciate but I would rather do it this way as then everyone can keep track of what’s there and we can all work together to hit targets/feed children. Every single penny of this will be used on food for local families and we have already got over 100 parcels spoke for already just through 3 schools. If we end up with more than we need I’ll be covering families further afield too.

Thankyou so much for your support and reading this, together we will make sure no kids in cumbria go hungry this Christmas
