Re-establishing the community garden at St Paulinus Ollerton. Creating a natural, nature filled space within the centre of town. A place of peace for all to enjoy. With sensory planting for those with limited, or no vision. Access enabled for those with disabilities, all pathways to be wheelchair friendly. Users able to assist with Vegetable planting in the raised bed areas, all for community members to come and take whatever they need. With added fruits being grown, Rasberries, Strawberries, black-current, pears, apples etc. We will also be providing a specific area of solitude for people in need of a “listening ear” when feeling low, stressed or depression, with trained “listeners” on hand. The garden is planned to provide that time of need for peace and quiet but surrounded by nature, without the need to jump in the car and travel to find that same peace. And provide those with “green fingers” to plant, nurture and grow foodstuffs for all the community to Come and takes for their needs.A place to just “BE”.
