The new net system at Cleckheaton will play a valuable part in attracting new players to the club as well as providing the very best facilities for our existing players, junior & senior alike. As a facility, it will enable us to offer opportunity for the local primary school to use as an all-weather facility during the day as part of their PE curriculum. We strongly believe the facilities should be accessed by the wider community.
In turn this should create and deepen interest for young people to develop their participation in cricket as a sport and after school activity. Without these facilities, we have limited capability as we are unable to open up the use of the square for such activity due to the busy schedule of games, for which the pitch needs to be retained in top condition.
The addition of a 'BOLA' Bowling Machine would serve to both enhance and and compliment our new excellent net facility. The BOLA Professional Bowling Machine has been at the forefront of sports technology since it first appeared on the cricketing scene in 1984.
The machine provide accurate and consistent batting practice for cricketers of all standards and abilities is still very much alive and it's evolutionary development for over thirty years has made significant improvements to cricketers practice and development in their game across all age groups.
