Cider in the City : Blossomtime Event

Aim

To secure the venue deposit for what I believe will be the first festival dedicated to celebrating artisan cider from all across the UK

Cider In the City : Blossomtime will see up to 40 cider and perry makers from throughout the UK come together for a weekend extravaganza - the 16th & 17th June - with talks, demonstrations, and street food, all accompanied by a rotation of DJs providing a feel-good soundtrack in a beautiful setting in the heart of Hoxton (East London).  The first few makers will be announced in  the coming weeks, and we're super excited to currently be in talks with some street food legends who are keen to be involved!

It will be a great opportunity for the public to learn about (and wholeheartedly enjoy) this most English of drinks first hand from the people who make it themselves. Expect to see a mix of traditional methods alongside newer methods such as ice cider, prosecco, and champagne style. It will also give the makers themselves the opportunity to tell their stories, sell their wares, and network.

It's about celebrating tradition while looking forward; it's about celebrating the produce of the land and the achievement of the small guy/gal. But mostly it's about everyone having a great weekend!

This initial funding wil secure the venue and any other start up costs to starting the ball rolling on making this event happen.
