Help us to give families a better Christmas
Enfield Women's Centre provides a safe place for women and their families who may be escaping violence, marginalised or financially challenged. In addition to providing counselling, training and support, we work with individuals towards economic independence and to become stakeholders in their own community rather than passive recipients of services.
We have been supporting women and families for over 25 few years. This is done via a range of services including counselling, training, advice, information, food and clothing distribution, social activities, outings, etc.
We operate a food bank (we are members of the Enfield Food Alliance and #EndChildFoodPoverty)which has been running for some years but demand on this service has grown exponentially since the onset of the COVID pandemic with more and more families being referred to us via social services, schools, health and other professionals.
We are raising funds to give them all a little extra this Christmas time. We hope to deliver hampers to our regular families and would like to include a variety of treats for all the families including Christmas Crackers, stocking fillers, yummies, etc.
Families differ in size with some having up to with eight children including some with differing abilities. We also hope to include small toys, activities, etc. We cannot do this without your help.
We also offer counselling and social support, access to help with ensuring they are in receipt of the correct benefits as well as info and training around budgeting.
