New stretch target

What is our project?

We are seeking to increase the security at our premises by installing security gates around our current door shutters, CCTV and security fencing around the building after suffering three break in's in the last 5 weeks.

The thieves  damaged the security shutter, broke through doors taking two TVs, smashing both the Fruit Machine & Juke Box stealing the money from them and raiding the penny jar the first time before on Sunday 28th January the Fruit Machine was smashed again and the contents taken with the Juke Box destroyed with money taken from inside it on 30th January.

These incidents has caused much distress affecting all users of the club and the small group of volunteers which spend countless hours running the club.

After the first break in thanks to the support of the local community, local organisations, businesses and club members we were quickly able to get back on our feet and have invested in improving our alarm system which have stretched resources significantly.

By installing these items it would offer further security to our premises  which in conjunction with Burnham United Juniors FC was significantly upgraded in July 2016 after years of fundraising improving our Changing Facilities and Clubhouse for members, oppositions & for local community usage.

The Burnham United Family

The club has been providing footballing opportunities for the local community since 1926 and currently has over 100 playing member who play in one of our Saturday teams or our veterans side which play on Sundays. We share the building with Burnham United Juniors FC who have over 250 members ranging from aged 5-18 and we are also home to five skittles teams, the town's Hockey club and the building is used by various community groups during the year. We aim to provide facilities that are accessible to all that can be enjoyed by all the community.

How can you help us?

The total cost of the project is in the region of £10,000. We have made a number grant applications to help us raise this money, however,we must demonstrate our commitment to the project by raising a proportion of the overall costs ourselves.

The rewards outlined in this project allow for anyone to make a contribution, knowing your gift will always be remembered. Lots of hard work has gone into improving the clubs facilities, please support our crowdfunding project to help ensure all this work is not undone. Together we can ensure Burnham United AFC remains a facility of which the whole community can be proud.

For the love of the game

Football is a wonderful game and over the years its given me many wonderful moments and memories. Through Football I have made some of my best friends and the club is one of my favourite places . This project is run by people who love the game of football, love their club and provide opportunities for people of all ages & abilities.

The Club has been a part of the town for over 90 years, and we wish to insure that it remains so for many years to come.
