Aim

Over 50? Under 150? Blume finds paid, flexible work for you - and brings this under-employed, talent and experience to everyone.

Blume is unique; we are the first and only venture that uses the gig economy model to bring work to experienced, talented under-employed people over-50.

More than 600 people – we call them Blumers – have signed up so far, with skills including accountancy, gardening, mentoring, virtual office support and much more.

As a result of our hard work, we have been selected by Allia to be part of their Serious Impact Incubator programme; in recognition of our innovative project we have been selected to be a community legend for this crowdfunding matching funds initiative.

We are just beginning to find work for this cohort of Blumers and in order to make them as accessible as possible to potential employers we need to develop an app - and that is what we are trying to fund here.

We have all used apps on our phones and tablets. We understand how much easier they make our interaction with businesses, from online shopping to checking out your social media. Blume needs to be a part of this ease of use dynamic. While we offer a kick-ass, secure website that gives you access to a range of options such as posting or finding a task, when you're sitting on a bus or train trying to interact, it's obvious that an app has the edge.

To achieve this goal we need to raise £20,000. Once we achieve this goal, those amazing people at Legal & General will contribute a further £10,000. Building apps is an expensive challenge and we need your assistance in making this a reality.
