What makes Blackheath Fireworks so special?
Blackheath Fireworks is a much-loved family night out that’s been going for 30 years and has become a local tradition: people who came to the display as children now come along with their own families.
An organised display is the safest way to enjoy fireworks and every year over 80,000 people come along to enjoy the display together. This free community event is run by Lewisham Council and supported by a number of generous partners.
To keep everyone safe and happy, we need to bring in lots of facilities (toilets, first aid, signage, fencing and security) and the display has to be very big and high in the sky. The fireworks we use are some of the biggest and best quality available in the UK and can reach as high as 200 metres. Our skilled display team from Emergency Exit Arts are wizards of the spectacular show, renowned for their breathtaking and imaginative choreographed displays and they’re local too!
You'll get a warm fuzzy feeling from the knowledge that your donation is helping to keep the event going. You can also get your hands on some official Blackheath Fireworks merchandise and you might even win the chance to start the display.
Boom! Win the chance to start the display.
