Bannermans is part of a national initiative launched by Music Venue Trust to prevent the closure of hundreds of independent music venues.
Bannermans has been bringing live music to Edinburgh for a number of years on all levels. We have provided support to local talent, up and coming acts and are now a main stop on the touring circuit for bands from all over the world.
We have been there from the start of careers such as KT Tunstall & Laura Marling and have hosted members from bands such as Guns N' Roses, Ramones, Stone Roses, Bad Company, AC/DC, The Wildhearts, Napalm Death, Stone Broken, to name a few, and continue to try and bring the highest quality of touring acts to Edinburgh. We love our local acts and not only put on gigs to showcase these, but try and give them a break to sold out audiences by adding them to the touring bills.
We also support local artists by allowing them to exhibit work in our bar area.
Obviously at present we don't know when our doors can next open, but we are working hard behind the scenes rescheduling dates and continuing to add new shows.
Like all businesses out there, these times are taking an effect on us all. We miss being there for our customers, gig goers etc.. all one family really. We are reaching out for your support at this time, so we can come back fighting stronger than ever once this passes. We want you to walk through our doors, see our team back where we belong and give you the killer live experience and warm welcome you deserve.
If we hit our target, and we can prevent the closure of our venue, everything above the amount we need will be donated to the Music Venue Trust GMV Crisis Fund to protect other venues just like ours, right across the country.
Take care of yourself out there, and we will see you on the other side. Every little helps, and you know it is appreciated and will go towards getting the music back to you as soon as we can.
Peace to ya all.
