Sponsor us to get our wellies on and walk the country to raise £1000 for our new Allotment Project

Hello!  We're here because we'd like you to sponsor us to get walking so we can raise £1000 for our new Allotment Project.

At Ansar Projects, we are keen to find enjoyable ways for people with a learning disability to socialise, learn new skills and have some fun. Our new Allotment Project ticks all those boxes!

We are starting small with a greenhouse and tools - and over time our aim is to secure our own Allotment Plot and allow it to evolve to best suit the needs of those who use it.  

The allotment will provide an opportunity for people with a learning disability to get involved in hands on horticulture; or enjoy the social engagement an allotment can offer… but first, we need to get our project off the ground with funding to purchase a greenhouse and some tools. 

Over the next 10 weeks, people supported by Ansar Projects and their staff teams aim to get walking and clock up steps. These steps will translate into miles that will take us around the country!

We will first clock up enough steps to get us to Thera Scotland (Edinburgh) then on to Thera North (County Durham), Thera East Midlands (Derbyshire), Thera East Anglia (Fakenham), Thera East (Brentwood), The Camden Society (Oxford), The Camden Society London (Haringey), Thera South West (Dorset), Aspire Living (Kidderminster) and then back to Ansar in Bury.

Each week we will hold a virtual social event with the company we are visiting - to help us find out a little bit more about the people and places that are make up the Thera group. We will keep you updated with our weekly adventures here and on facebook!

Our target is to raise £1000 to get our Allotment Project off the ground. Please sponsor us to get our wellies on and get walking for an excellent cause!
