50 DAY CHALLENGE for donations to Truro Lions Club

I am raising money for a charitable cause that is very important to me so please donate and help me reach my target

CARE: COMPASSION: CHALLENGE: CONTRIBUTE: CELEBRATE 

Keith is raising money for Truro Lions Charity Trust to enable them to help those in need in the community including Cornwall Hospice Care & Children’s Hospice SW.

Truro Lions Club Charitable Trust, like all other charities, are suffering an income drop, during this unprecedented virus crisis. Since the start of the pandemic, Truro Lions have suffered a shortfall of over £10,000 to date, which will greatly increase as current and future events are being cancelled. Traditionally the Spring and Summer seasons generate 75/80% of their years income, so this year there be substantial reduction. This will prevent them making grants to the underprivileged, sick, youth and elderly projects to just name a few areas of usual support.

Truro Lions will be celebrating in 2021, their 50th Anniversary of serving the communities of Truro and District. To recognise this a 2 year GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY 50/50 APPEAL was launched on July 1st 2019. The recipients will be CORNWALL HOSPICE CARE AND CHILDREN’S HOSPICE SW., with the fund shared equally (50/50), without any deduction of fees, to be presented at a CELEBRATION Concert in Truro Cathedral on 5th June 2021.

I have decided to set up a personal appeal named “50 DAY CHALLENGE“ to help bridge with the income gap, in a small but meaningful way, so that their aspirations may be revived. I am asking their members, friends, family, neighbours and other supporters to set themselves a challenge during these 50 days. It may be walking, cycling, running, swimming, climbing mountains or Brown Willy, crafts and gardening. This can be by sponsorship or sales. Initial promises include making 50 cakes, sowing extra 50 seeds to sell as plants, and believe it or not, eating 50 custard cream biscuits in a day!

You can be creative and choose whatever CHALLENGE you like providing it is legal and within the Virus restrictions.

The CHALLENGE is to raise as much as possible, under these strange circumstances, and any donations, may it be £5, which would be good, or multiples, as that would be fantastic, especially if there is the number 5 in there somewhere! Whatever you CONTRIBUTE will give us cause to CELEBRATE the outcome of my Appeal for the Charities close to my heart.

GIVE IT A GO - CHALLENGE YOURSELF, MAYBE WITH THE HELP OF OTHERS, SO WE CAN ALL CELEBRATE AT THE END OF 50 DAYS.
