In 2005 Spank Records sent 28 Costumes to a studio for a month to record a double album. We aim to release that record on vinyl & download.

In January 2005 Spank Records sent 28 Costumes to a residential studio in the Welsh countryside for a month to record a double album.  We aim to finally press that record to vinyl and distribute it as a posthumous  Spank Records release on February 27th 2018.

Jon Hall and his record label, Spank Records, spared no effort or expense to make this record sound as fantastic as possible and the original line up of the band worked around the clock to make these songs as awesome as they could. The production team of Rob Whitely, Dan Woodward, Max Ludwig and back-line tech Ian 'Skinnie' McFarlane made a magical hoard of vintage instruments and microphones sing and shout in that snow covered studio all month.  

The session came just two months after the release of 28 Costumes acclaimed debut album "The Fake Death Experience" on Spank Records. Described by the NME as "A torrent of Pixiesque guitar belligerence over swashes of shimmering hooks", "Thoroughly engrossing 4/5" - The Independent, "Truly, this is a work of rare genius 5/5" - The Fly.

February 27th 2018 would have been Jon Halls 40th birthday. We tragically lost Jon to heart failure earlier this year. 

In tribute to Jon, the original line up of 28 Costumes are reforming for a series of gigs starting February 24th at the Heebie Jeebies launch party in Liverpool to finally release 'Adventure Stories' on vinyl, CD and download. Your participation can make that happen. All profits from this crowdfunder will be donated to the British Heart Foundation.
