Aim

Wine shop and tasting room in an affluent area of York, offering personalised service and wine experience.

‘2 Many Wines’ is the brainchild of Cyriaque and Benjy, who have over 25 years’ experience in hospitality and wholesale and share the same passion for brilliant wines and gourmet food. 

It is a York-based business, which opened towards the end of 2020.

We can help the consumer choose the right wine for any occasion, we are making it easy to select amongst the tremendous sea of wine out there, all with a personal touch.

We are looking at opening a physical shop and tasting room in an affluent area and push ticketed events (virtual and physical), plus serving food to seated customers who want to live a wine experience.

We are also developing our website which will have a virtual wine bar feel.

We will deliver for free in York and for a fee across the UK.

We have run a wine tasting both corporate and private from December 2020, with great success.

The best results have been coming from our Chez Barbara club every Thursday night, the format has been really successful. We select a producer and 4 to 6 wines from that producer, invite the winemaker/owner to the zoom call and discuss the wines, the history of the winery, the region, and the country for 1h30. People register their interests and receive samples of the wines (delivered either by us or the post office).

We have had members of this club coming back week after week and purchase the wines from us.

This has been a great way of raising attention amongst the public and the world of wine lovers.

We have just opened a pop-up shop in York.

We would like to be able to open a shop and tasting room and continuing to run virtual and face-to-face tastings. 

Also, we would really like to bring the world of wine to the public and democratise this world, making it more accessible to all ages and wages.

Once the place is open, we will be working hard to bring the business from a strong base to a solid partner to the public and look to extend the reach by developing online sales and another branch.

We want our concept to grow with us and make sure we understand the needs of the community.
