This fundraiser is to support Believe to Achieve in aiding the additional needs of children and their families across the West Midlands due to the impact of Covid-19 on their mental health.
There has been a 70% increase in demand for services such as counselling and resilience work since the first lockdown in March. I (Ryan Pratt, Project Support Officer at Believe to Achieve) will be running 150 miles in 6 weeks, starting on the 8th January 2021, and finishing on the 19th February 2021. It would be fantastic if you could donate to our cause which helps young people and their families through these tough times.
Here is a brief background on the history of Believe to Achieve and what we do...
Founded in 2001 in Wolverhampton by Lisa Potts, Believe to Achieve is an engaging and creative charity working with children and young people aged 5yrs - 16yrs.
We work holistically to enhance self-esteem, resilience, mental health, personal development, educational experience and future aspirations. We do this through the high quality provision of a wide range of services, delivered by our experienced and qualified staff.
Our provision includes:
- counselling and therapy services for young people and their families
- peer support/resilience programmes
- internet/social media awareness workshops
- parental support programmes
- holiday, lunchtime & after-school activities
We deliver our services in schools, other educational establishments, community and voluntary organisations. We have a duty of care to the children, young people and their families in which we provide the services to.
If you could please support this amazing charity via my endeavours it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
