1 Million Step Challenge

Aim

I am aiming to walk 1 million steps over 8/10 weeks.

Our dear friend and beautiful soul Karen was recently diagnosed with Non Small Cell Lung Cancer.

Lung Cancer is the most common cause of cancer death in the UK. More women die from lung cancer than breast cancer and, despite being labelled ‘a smoker’s disease’, lung cancer in non smokers is the 8th most common cause of cancer related death in the UK.

Many of you know during lockdown, I started to walk, exploring the local area and eventually navigating quite some distance. Karen and I have enjoyed many walks together and this felt quite apt to choose for my personal challenge to raise as much funds for Karen and her girls Kira and Zoe to enjoy making some special memories together. 

I am aiming to walk 1 million steps which equates to roughly 400 miles over 8 weeks to show my support to one of my best friends. Any amount raised will help greatly and will be so appreciated by myself and Karen’s family.  Please share my link and if you see me out in one of my fundraising T-shirt’s, give me a toot or wave to encourage me to keep going!
