Helpful Holidays fundraising for Dartmoor Rescue

Aim

At Helpful Holidays, we are raising money for this incredible Dartmoor charity in 2025 with a sponsored walk, bake sale and more!

This year Helpful Holidays is delighted to be raising money for Dartmoor Rescue Group in a variety of ways.

Owner Success Manager James Webb will be completing a sponsored walk on 3rd October 2025, trekking the coastal path from Plymouth to Looe in a single day (approx 22.5 miles).

He said "Having grown up on Dartmoor I'm very aware of the unexpected dangers and hazards of the moor.  Whilst at school I got to take part in a small search and rescue training exercise and that experience has always stayed with me.  I often feel the Dartmoor Rescue Group is overlooked in favour of the more widely known charities and so I wanted to play a small part in doing something to help them keep their terrific work going."

The Helpful Holidays team are also holding a community coffee morning at the Chagford office, on 25th September from 10am-midday. All are welcome to come along and enjoy coffee and cake!

Anything you can contribute towards helping James and the Helpful Holidays team raise funds for this essential local charity will be massively appreciated.

Thank you.
