Often we take the warmth of our homes, companionship of others, and great food for granted. As the air becomes crisp and the ground becomes frosty, there are those less fortunate who need our support this winter.
Be a part of the first ever Winter Solace charity album to give back to those in need, while also receiving a curated album from some of the most talented musicians in the South West.
This season, a committed group have come together to do something a little different from the average fundraising. The Winter Solace charity album aims to raise much needed funding that will be split between St Petroc's and Age UK (Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly). These charities provide services to homeless people currently struggling in the streets and doorways of Cornwall as well as those who find this time of year especially cold and lonely.
Your donations on this Crowdfunder contribute to the production of the album. All proceeds from the sale of the album will be gifted directly to these Charities. In the ideal scenario where we meet (or exceed) our goal, the funding will go towards the production of more albums and then the profit from the sale of these will add to the total donation to the charities. The album will retail at £10.
The following artists have generously confirmed to donate a track to our Winter Solace album - Gary Stringer and Jack Bessant from REEF, Mark Charwick from The LEVELLERS, Sound of the Sirens, Andy Quick, Martin Harley, Mad Dog Mcrea and Polly Money. More artists will be added to this list as they confirm their contribution.
The launch of the album (aim is early December) will be supported by David White at BBC Introducing on BBC Radio Cornwall.
This unique opportunity is open to businesses and individuals in the local community who either wish to receive a copy of this compliation album or who would like to be a part of the initiative by having their branding on the album and marketing collateral.
