Upping The Game, a local initiative to help offer a hot, nutritious, hearty meal to the homeless of Bassetlaw and those in genuine food poverty.

Upping The Game founder, Jonathan Davis, enlisted the help of Victoria Brooks, the Community Champion for Morrisons Worksop & Retford, who very kindly offered to provide the crock-pot, table, water heater and also provide hygiene packs and fruit for every Street Kitchen.

We were then contacted by The Country Food Trust, a national charity that provides over 100,000 meals a year across the UK. These meals come pre packed and simply need heating. As they have a shelf life of a year at ambient temperature, they're ideal for storing without refrigeration.

We have one simple mission, to help support the homeless and local people who are struggling to feed themselves and their families. Our Street Kitchens are discreet, we don't ask questions or judge on individual circumstances, however, we always give our time to listen and help provide a pathway to help should we be asked.

This is a purely voluntary service with no external funding. We rely on the help and generosity of locals and local businesses.
