Aim

Help us keep the costs of the world's only inter-university brass band contest as low as possible!

Brass bands have never been more exciting.

UniBrass is the world’s only inter-university brass band contest and sees hundreds of students from across the country compete to play the most entertaining and musically complete set. Hosted at the state-of-the-art Warwick Arts Centre, UniBrass 2016 will be the biggest year yet.

UniBrass is supported by the UniBrass Foundation, a registered charity whose main objective is to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art of the brass band movement. Many musicians give up playing their instrument upon getting to university; the aim of the Foundation is to try and change this by helping to create a movement that keeps musicians involved and playing during their studies.

We also offer free public workshops during the contest day, and host our Performer's Platform, where bands and groups from a wide range of musical backgrounds are invited to perform, giving musicians from the local area a chance to perform to a large audience and gain significant exposure!

Help us keep costs for participants down.

The UniBrass 2016 Committee wants the cost for participants as low as possible - that's why we're asking you to help us. We need funding to pay for the costs of booking the hall, funding our public workshops, hiring percussion for the day and streaming the contest to as large an audience as possible!

UniBrass has been called “the most innovative thing to happen to banding in 100 years” by Brass Bands England. The 2016 contest will be the biggest, most exciting and most entertaining yet, and you can help us make it that way!
