We are raising funds to kit out our shiny new studio. We need a kiln, potters wheel and printing press to make the most astounding artwork!
We have been working very hard on Arts at Appledore School in the last couple of years. We were awarded a Gold Artsmark award last year and are working on becoming a specialist school for the arts. We want to now build on our Arts journey and take it even further! We are making our own community arts space and resource at the heart of our school:The Harbour Studio. We are building an open, engaging Arts space that provides our community with connections, lifelong creative memories and skills. The children at Appledore School who are helping to plan and design the space will have ownership and weekly access to this purposely planned space. In the 'The Harbour Studio' we will be able to support other schools and community groups. We will run creative messy play sessions for under threes, professional development for staff in our school and neighbouring schools, making sessions for parents and families, theraputic arts sessions and intergenerational projects.

It will be the arts@appledore HQ. We are a team of children, Artists, Teachers, Governors, parents and friends who are doing all they can to create something really special. We strongly believe in providing our children with time to create and giving them access to the highest quality tools, materials and experiences. We envisage our studio as a creative hub, the link between our children and their community. We will use the space to enable and encourage exciting arts projects for our pupils and staff and those of our partner schools with guest arts professionals and enthusiasts. We intend to upskill our entire network. We have put our creative expertise together to design and set up a beautiful and functional studio and now we need the equipment to go in it. This is where you can help. Please pledge to support this innovative and important community project. Help us make arts happen!
