Help our bookshop expand

Aim

We are looking for help to save our bookshop , due to my wife amys recent heart attack our indie bookshop faces closure

hello there book and bookshop lovers and welcome to our bookshops crowdfunder.    

1st we apologise to change the reason for our crowdfunder but an emergency arose at the end of march which led to this change.

amy my lovely other half has been ill over the past few weeks so we had to limit the shops hours then on the 31st march she had a heart attack , so ive totally had to concentrate on running the house and visiting her in hospital , with the shop being our only income this has hit us terribly hard financially and our bookshop faces closure.

me and amy especially have put our sweat , blood & tears into the shop over the past 3 years to get it to where it is and will only become stronger due to the new shopping precinct opening this summer so it would be heartbreaking if we had to close.

therefor we are asking for your help to keep us alive & kicking , and you get your money back in books too , if you can help us continue our bookshop journey we would so much appreciate it , as our areas only indie bookshop im sure you will agree with us.

in addition all extra money raised that we don't need will be given to a heart/cardiac charity

larger pledgers can choose between adverts/plaques on the shop floor or can choose to sponsor a bookcase.

we are scott , amy a tight knit family unit who started southcart books on a budget 3 years ago in a small shop with just a few boxes of books , we relocated to a much bigger shop last july and oh how far we have come in just 3 short years with a huge following of local authors and the public with now over 15,000 books and growing all the time.

 Small update , as part of our ongoing charity and community work we gave all these to charity today , about 2000 books in total.

Bit of good news today , the express & star newspaper will be running our story as they like what we are trying to achieve & like our recent charity work too ????
