Train the long term sick, carers, migrants, ex service people & those in remote locations in Social Media for Employment & self-employment.

Santander Bank have agreed to match 50% of the funds raised as long as we meet the target set. With your help we can do this! We have identified several groups who are often excluded from work or self-employment. These include long term sick, carers, migrants, ex prisoners, ex services and those where travel difficulties make finding work difficult or uneconomic. We are in discussion with the Scottish Government and others to bring this project to fruition. Your help will be invaluable and we have built in some incentives. 2+2 can equal 5.

We believe that the Social Media Sector provides fast growing opportunities within which flexible working where the individual is largely able to choose the hours involved is possible. The Social Media Sector is growing quickly and operates on a 24/7/365 basis. This offers opportunities for trained people to work or be self employed whatever their circumstances and wherever they are. The roll out of fast broadband is helping this to be a reality.

We will train the long term sick, carers, remote workers, ex forces staff, ex offenders and immigrants in social media and digital skills. We believe that flexible working using available and emerging software can be tailored to suit the needs of these groups where circumstances might not always allow conventional employment to be undertaken. We believe too that these groups bring unique insights, cultural and language skills which can add vale to potential customers whilst assisting those involved to become financially independent, grow their confidence and self esteem and reduce strain on public resources whilst at the same time helping to build the local and national economy.

Your help will enable us to recruit a manager, train trainers and develop a Scottish Based Qualification with SQA. More importantly your donation will provide a glimmer of hope for those involved in training, help in raising their self confidence whilst building skills which will help them live more independent lives, be economically and socially active and help build a successful and inclusive comunity. We intend to provide opportunities for Employment, leads for the Self Employed, Apprenticeships and Internships as well as encouraging volunteers.

We intend to register under the Scottish Business Pledge as a Fair Employer. We will undertake to train young and old alike irrespective of race, religion or gender. We will follow the structures provided by Investors in People and Investors in Young People and seek accreditation and in doing so build an organisation which provides career as well as employment opportunities in an organisation where each voice is heard and valued.

Help us make a real and lasting difference in the lives of others who find themselves in difficult circumstances.
