Save Langdale Wood

Aim

We aim to raise £300 to fund leaflets, posters, promotion and venue booking, Please give generously.

The proposed development of 50 chalets and a large reception building in Langdale Wood will be detrimental to local people, local businesses, wildlife and the forest itself.  This is the last piece of woodland available in the area and is home to an array of documented flora and fauna including numerous varieties of bat, great crested newts, little grebe and a plethora of wild plants and fungi. There is also anecdotal evidence of muntjac deer, nightingales, cuckoos, wild boar and hares to name but a few.

This development serves no purpose other than profit for a private developer and the Three Counties Show Ground.

There is significant opposition to this proposal and we aim to  bring interested parties together to represent the interests of local people.  To do this, we need funding for posters, leaflets, promotion and venue hire.  Please give as generously as you can and help us to save Langdale Wood.
