New stretch target
Any amount over the initial £3K target will simply increase the number of leaflets we can print and send out for distribution. £7.5K is the point at which an optimum value print run is reached (this will cover 250,000 leaflets).
To directly inform the public of what fracking looks like in production and what has resulted elsewhere from the practice.

The purpose of this project is to bulk print a 4pp A4 leaflet showing clearly and succinctly what the effects of fracking are in production, for delivery in various locations across the UK before the upcoming general election.
The mainstream media in the UK have avoided publishing information, and especially images, of the real impacts of fracking.
This leaflet aims to redress that balance in a simple way by using images and information that are all in the public domain but would not normally be seen, especially by those who might not look this information up online.
Included in the leaflet will be the stances of the major political parties with regard to fracking. The leaflet will not actively endorse any party, and the information it contains will remain relevant after the election.
NB This crowdfunder is intended to take advantage of bulk printing rates to produce a large number of copies quickly. The files will remain available for anyone to print and distribute should they wish to.
You can see the 4 pages of the leaflet here (these are low res for easy web viewing):

Minimum print run of 75-80,000 leaflets distributed via volunteer and campaigning groups. Any amount over this allows us to print larger numbers, up to an optimum value print run.
Optimum value print run of 250,000 leaflets distributed via volunteer and campaigning groups. Any amount over this continues to spread the reach of this information as cheaply as possible.
The 2010-2015 UK government was openly in favour of fracking for oil and gas, and the industry has therefore been promoted by policy and by changes in the law. But the impacts and the aftermath of fracking in communities and landscapes have not been widely shown or discussed, and we feel this is absolutely key if the public is expected to offer social licence for the practice.
Jojo Mehta is an environmental campaigner and UK resident concerned about the impacts of fracking. Earlier this year she put all 657 Members of Parliament on legal notice that they may be in breach of their duty to the interests of the nation if they support laws promoting fracking, and if harm subsequently arises. She provided them with prior knowledge of the risks and harms of fracking by including with the notice the introduction to the following document:
