Radio Sydenham fundraiser
Sydenham
Aim
Weʼre raising funds to engaging with the local community to offer training and community focused programmes.
Radio Sydenham is a community based online radio station. Our aim is to engage with the local community of Sydenham and the London Borough of Lewisham.
Part of its operation is to engage with all members of the community, creating programmes with a local interest. This will be done on a variety of ways, for example interviewing community groups, local musicians, artists or local politicians. We also offer training in sound editing, radio programming and presenting.
As part of our community engagement, we will organise training sessions in how to create radio programming, script writing and this will ultimately lead to training in becoming a radio presenter.
The station will be run by a group of volunteers and running costs will come from donations and funding.
Our current volunteers are of all ages and backgrounds and we welcome anyone who would like to get involved in this project.
