To create awareness packs about #PNDHour/#PNDchat Twitter Perinatal Mental Health Support to send to Mother & Baby Units in the UK.
About the project
PND and Me is online peer support for those with Perinatal Mental Illness run via @PNDandMe on Twitter, I host a weekly chat with the hashtag #PNDHour every Wednesday at 8pm for all those across the UK
There are 17 Mother & Baby Units across with UK with approximately 125 beds altogether, these units offer crucial inpatient support for mothers experiencing a mental illness, mothers are able to access this support with their baby in the unit with them which helps the bonding process between mother & child.
I'd like to create packs that include all the information about #PNDHour for those in Mother & Baby Units across the UK, with any left over packs they will be sent out to any Postnatal Depression Support individuals/groups/charities that would like them.
Packs will include for indiviuals -
- A 20 page booklet with positives stories and words of hope
- A small teddy bear called 'Hope'
Also packs for the Units will include spare copies of the booklets plus promotionals posters and cards about #PNDHour
