This Halloween, one lucky winner and three guests could enjoy an unforgettable weekend of wildlife, behind-the-scenes experiences and Halloween adventure at the Welsh Mountain Zoo.

Your Keeper's Key adventure begins before you even arrive at the Zoo!
Thanks to our friends at Thornley Leisure Parks, the winner and three guests will enjoy a weekend stay from Friday 30th October to Sunday 1st November 2026 in a Crafnant caravan at The Beach Caravan Park.

On Saturday 31 October 2026, the winner and three guests will arrive before the Zoo opens to the public.
Waiting for you will be The Keeper's Key. Together, you'll unlock the Zoo and be the first to enter for a very special day.
🐾 Explore the Zoo
Once you've unlocked the gates, enjoy a morning exploring the Zoo at your own pace, with plenty of time to discover your favourite animals and attractions.
And because it's Halloween weekend, you're welcome to dress up in your favourite Halloween fancy dress and join in the spooky fun taking place across the Zoo.
We'll also treat you to lunch at Safari Restaurant before your afternoon adventure begins.
🦁 Be a Keeper for the Afternoon
From 1pm–4pm, it's time to go behind the scenes and discover what life is really like for the people who care for our animals every day.
The winner and three guests will enjoy an exclusive Keeper for the Afternoon experience, taking part in activities selected by our animal care team. The exact activities will be chosen by our animal care team based on the animals' welfare, routines and operational requirements on the day.
🎃 The Zoo After Hours
Think the adventure ends when the Zoo closes? Think again…
From 4.30pm–5.30pm, you'll have the Zoo to enjoy after hours, with an exclusive Halloween experience including:

· 🔥 Toasted s'mores
· 🌙 An exclusive twilight walk

The Cause: Unlock a Future for Margays
Every entry into The Keeper's Key will help support the future development of the margay habitat at the Welsh Mountain Zoo.
The Welsh Mountain Zoo is a conservation and education charity, working to care for threatened species, inspire people to connect with wildlife and play our part in protecting the natural world.
The funds raised through this prize draw will be ringfenced to support the future development of our margay habitat.
The margay is a remarkable and elusive small wild cat, perfectly adapted to life in the forests of Central and South America. With their incredible climbing abilities and striking markings, these fascinating cats are specially adapted to life in the trees.
Margays have been part of the Welsh Mountain Zoo family since 2007, and we have enjoyed significant breeding success over the years. In that time, 10 Margay kittens have been born at the Zoo – six males and four females.
Our current adult margays, Maverick and Sonora, continue this important story. Kittens born at the Zoo have gone on to move to other collections as part of the European breeding programme.
Now, we're looking to the future.
By raising funds through The Keeper's Key, we hope to support the future development of our Margay habitat and continue providing an environment that supports the welfare and natural behaviours of these remarkable wild cats.
By entering, you'll have the chance to win the ultimate Halloween Zoo adventure while helping us invest in the future of a species that has been part of the Welsh Mountain Zoo's conservation story for almost two decades.

Who can enter?
Eligibility: UK residents aged 18 and over.
The prize draw will close on Thursday 15th October at 9am. One winner will be selected at random and contacted using the details provided when entering.
The winner will receive the prize as an exclusive fixed-date experience taking place on Saturday 31st October 2026, with accommodation from Friday 30th October to Sunday 1st November 2026.
