Giving FREE support to women-led businesses within the West Midlands and closing the gap on gender inequality in entrepreneurship.

The Financial Fit (TFF) is a revolutionary project delivered by the Coventry and Warwickshire Reinvestment Trust (CWRT). Created for women, by women in business, this programme is meticulously crafted to address the distinctive financial needs and challenges faced by women entrepreneurs.

The statistics show that businesswomen in the UK are at a huge disadvantage, with only 6% of female founders gaining venture funding. For every £1 of equity investment in the UK in 2021, all-female-founder teams received just 2p. 

Recognising the unique challenges and opportunities that women in business encounter, TFF is designed to equip women business owners with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to navigate the complexities of financial management. We’ve seen firsthand that giving access to the right support in the right way, can contribute to not only economic growth and empowerment, but many businesswomen's lives.

What sets our programme apart?

• Tailored Support: The content of TFF is uniquely designed to address the financial challenges faced by women in business. From budgeting and financial planning to investment strategies and negotiation skills, our programme covers a comprehensive range of topics to empower women at every stage of their business journey.
• Industry Experts and Speakers: Learn from industry experts and connect with successful women entrepreneurs who have navigated the business and financial landscape. This key component ensures women have guidance from those who have walked the path before and can offer invaluable insights into financial and business decision-making.
• Interactive Workshops and Networking Opportunities: Engage in hands-on workshops that provide practical tools, techniques, and resources, allowing business owners to apply these directly to their business. Additionally, networking events provide a platform to connect with like-minded women, fostering collaboration, the exchange of ideas and peer-to-peer support.
• Flexible Learning Formats: We understand the demands on time as a businesswoman. Our programme offers flexible learning formats, including online webinars, and in-person sessions, allowing them to fit in this learning experience around their business and personal commitments.

From the immense success of our self-funded first pilot cohort (as seen above), we now want to be able to offer this FREE support to all women-led businesses across the West Midlands, to enable the impact of TFF to be spread as far and wide as possible.
