Aim
Following the success of the Pickering 1940s Weekend, we are looking for support from the 1940s Community to fund our road-closure.
To enable the event to go-ahead this year, we need to evidence to the Safety Advisory Group that the event will be run in a safe manner which entails employing a Traffic Management team, security and First Aid. We have approached our local businesses who have donated to cover some costs and are in the process of sourcing additional grant-funding and sponsorship to raise the £7000 plus required.
At this point, we would like to thank everybody who attended last year and made the weekend an incredible success. We collected £1700 on the day from your donations which ensured that we broke even on our expenditure.
Our target of £1500 would cover the road closure to ensure the weekend can be safe, fun and successful.
