Aim

We need your help to elect Matt Williams and Tom Whatson as Green Party Councillors in Walker.

Walker deserves proper representation.

We have spent the last 12 months listening to people's concerns and taking action. We started Walker Clean Streets Campaign with regular litter picks and calls for more bins. We've been raising concerns about poor heating and a lack of insulation in new council homes. We've pushed for proactive measures to reduce disruptive fireworks and to invest in community displays instead. We've tidied up people's gardens when the council won't step in. We're demonstrating what Green values are - community, solidarity and graft. We are fighting for a fair deal for Walker.

For too long Walker has borne the brunt of deindustrialisation, austerity and politicians that take working-class communities for granted. For decades the people of Walker looked to the Labour Party but it is clear from our conversations on the doorstep - that trust has now been severed. Labour failed to show up for Walker. Walker will no longer show up for Labour.

The choice in Walker is clear - it's the divisive rhetoric of Reform Vs the community action of the Greens. We know this isn't going to be easy, but we're up for the fight.

We are not funded by big business or corporations, so we rely on support from ordinary people across the country. Any donations will go towards Newcastle Green Party campaign material across the city.

50% of funds raised will be used to fund the Walker campaign, and 50% for the Green Party election campaign in Newcastle. By making a donation you confirm that you are eligible to make political donations in the UK, and that this donation is not made for or on behalf of any other person. We will need to collect some information from you to check that donations are permissible under electoral law.
