Your support makes a difference

Aim

Let's light up the streets of Bedminster again! Your donation could be doubled.

Help us to secure the parade for 2027 and let's light up the streets again!

Lovingly called 'Bemmy Lanterns', the parade is the biggest creative community event in South Bristol bringing thousands of local residents together to celebrate BS3’s creativity.

In Autumn, we hold lantern-making workshops with schools, community groups and the public, with the illuminated parade taking place in January - bringing thousands of spectators to Bedminster.

The event is supported by 200 wonderful volunteers who work tirelessly each year to secure the funding and provide logistical support on the day. Support from our local businesses and the public is vital in making the parade happen and we hope you’ll join us this year.

We want everyone to be able to take part in 2026 parade and have access to a free cultural activity, whether participating in a creative workshop at school, with their community group or attending the parade.

Help us make it happen! Please donate whatever you can afford - big or small - our donations together will soon add up so we can bring Bemmy Lanterns back for 2027.

This year we're delighted to share that your donation could also be matched so you can make double the difference for the Lantern Project. Barcan & Kirby, one of our Leading Light sponsors, have generously pledged to match all donations up to £750. Any donations over £750 will still go towards the lantern project but won't be matched.

Thank you for your support
