To keep the lights on at St Georges Ramsgate
If you would like to donate without tipping crowdfunder:
Since 1827, the church of St George the Martyr, has been a place of worship built meet the needs of the poor in Ramsgate.
The tradition of helping the poor is also maintained now. St George’s supports a Community Meal on a Tuesday evening for homeless people and others who are in need of a home-cooked meal. The church hall is also the site for Our Kitchen in Ramsgate, which provides fresh food and groceries at a very reduced price for anyone who comes in.
Due to a punitive electricity tariff in 2024, enforced with zero sympathy by our energy supplier, we've entered 2025 with a huge backlog of costs, the funds raised will help ensure that the hall can continue to operate as a community resource in Ramsgate, by paying down these bills with any extra money going to to further maintenance of the church and hall, for future expenditure.
