Help Ellie represent Devon cricket in Sri Lanka

Please help us to raise funds towards the cost of Ellie's 12-day cricket tour to Sri Lanka, representing Devon County U15 Girls

Thanks for visiting my crowdfunder page. I’m Ellie, I am a student at Q.E. and I have played cricket locally for Sandford for many years. My love for cricket began at an early age, batting balls at my older brother, Ollie most weekends in the local nets. 

Starting with the All Stars at 6 years old, I have played up through all age groups, most recently representing Sandford U14s and a new Sandford U15s girls hardball team. I also made my senior debut against Paignton with my dad, in the Sandford Third XI team during the 2025 season. 

Three years ago, I joined the Devon Development U12s girls’ squad. After a season of working hard through winter and summer training, and playing county fixtures, I was excited to be invited back to join the U13s Devon girls’ and have remained part of the U14s and now, U15s too. 

I am currently taking part in winter training at Exeter University, as well as managing my other passion - playing rugby for Crediton and Devon U16s Girls!

I feel very privileged to have been selected to attend the U15s girls' tour to Sri Lanka in February 2026. This will be an amazing opportunity for me to learn about the country and cultures, whilst at the same time being lucky enough to practice my passion for cricket.  

Playing cricket in a country like Sri Lanka will be full of challenges that I can’t wait to tackle, but it will be an amazing learning experience too and I feel very lucky to be invited to represent both Devon and Sandford Cricket Clubs over there. 

I'm really thankful for all the support I've received so far, but this aside, we are responsible for raising all of our own funds to secure our places on the tour and so I am reaching out for financial help.  

THE FINANCES

The total cost of the trip is £2,950 which will include travel, accommodation, playing kit and other essential needs. My family and I are already covering the costs associated with my cricket career, but the tour will be difficult to fund without help and we have reached a point where we need to look outside of our own income for some financial support. 

I believe that cricket is massively under-represented in state school education, so alternative funding streams are few and far between.
