Aim
Help launch a cosy, community-focused board game café in Leominster. The games are ready — we just need your help to open the doors.
👋 What is Game of Scones?
Game of Scones is a warm, welcoming board game café in the making — serving up drinks, snacks, and stacks of games right here in Herefordshire.
We are already working on developing a games library — that will have numerous titles ready to play. All we need now is a small, friendly space to bring it to life.
With your help, we’ll secure a micro-venue, set up furniture and equipment, and open the doors for the first time in Leominster.
💸 Why we need your support
We’re aiming to raise £2,500–£3,500 to cover the essentials:
- Venue hire or lease deposit
- Furniture (second-hand) – tables, chairs, and shelves
- Kitchen equipment – Fridge, Oven, Coffee machine, etc
- Stock – coffee, tea, milkshakes, snacks
- Licensing, signage and insurance
- Marketing, posters and other POS
This budget gives us a small-but-mighty launch — lean, local, and fully playable from day one.
🧠 What makes this different?
This isn’t a corporate chain or a franchise concept. This is one small café, made by local people, for local people — powered by second-hand charm, community support, and a ton of enthusiasm.
We’re not just funding furniture. We’re building a hub where people can relax, connect, and discover the magic of tabletop games — whether they’re seasoned strategists or total beginners.
