Aim
I'm running this prize draw to raise money for 1625 Independent people, to support young people facing homelessness in the heart of Bristol.
The Prize
1625 Independent People have generously been donated a Metro single speed city road bicycle by Bristol born, Temple Cycles! As if that wasn't epic enough, iconic Bristol sign painter, Tozer signs, has transformed this bicycle into a limited edition work of art!
The Cause
We are running this prize draw to raise funds to support the vital services we are delivering to young people in the South West. We believe it is not enough to provide a roof over someone's head, so we provide specialist services to support complex needs, providing more responsive, tailored and holistic support, using trusted relationships with a young person as a key ingredient for effective support.
85% of homeless adults with complex needs, those who are also offending or have substance misuse problems, have experienced childhood trauma. To achieve sustained long-term impact on homelessness, we need solutions that reach young people before they develop more entrenched problems.
Funds raised will go towards supporting our specialist projects and services to empower young people to gain the skills to overcome their trauma, and build the confidence they need to achieve their goals. Our specialist services includes education, employment and training (EET), mental health and wellbeing, domestic and sexual violence, and support for young people who offend.
