Hello, we're Ouseburn Farm. We are a free -to - visit working farm that works for the community and we are right in the heart of Newcastle's inner city.
It all started in 1976, with a caravan on the site of a derelict paint factory. Now, over 40 years later, we're a hugely popular visitor attraction and we are on a big mission to help our community bloom and grow. But we can't keep going without your help.
Right now, the deficit in our funding could mean we have to stop. Friends of the farm have stepped in to help our gates stay open for now, but we need more help to make sure they stay that way. That's where you come in.
We're lots of things, to lots of people and we simply teach people to grow.
From our visitors, to the rescued animals we care for, to the school children we inspire in our classrooms and the vulnerable or disadvantaged people, we help discover new skills in horticulture, catering, woodwork, creative arts and photography.
As you may have guessed by now, we're not your average farm. So whilst your money could help us to grow some vegetables or feed our rescue animals, it might do something you never expected it to.
Your money could help us run workshops for local school children, to give them their first taste of fresh vegetables or teach them about recycling. Or it could help us run an educational workshop for adults who have learning difficulties or disablilities, or to work with people who have been homeless and help them back on track.
Whatever your donation goes towards, it will help us to leave a positive legacy for everyone's future. So a great big thank you from us and our friends (feathery, furry or human). Claim your reward and come and see the great work you've helped keep in action.
