Help us get One Georgie Orwell to Teatro Latea theatre on the lower east side of Manhattan.

The cabaret ‘One Georgie Orwell’ by Orwell Society member Peter Cordwell and singer-songwriter Carl Picton will play at Teatro Latea in New York’s Lower East Side from Tuesday, October 28, to Saturday, November 1, 2014.
With eight original songs and including Orwell’s own words from books and essays, it’s a unique celebration of the man and his work.
The musical is a no-budget production, initially shown at Greenwich Theatre, then all over London.
Next stop: New York
But New York turns out to be an expensive place to take a theatre show to...
Peter Cordwell, journalist and all-round South East London legend, has George Orwell as a hero. He wants the world to share his admiration for the man. He writes a musical about George Orwell. Now, he says, I need some songs. One man meets another man. Carl Picton writes songs. He writes songs with Pete. Together they finish the job.
This autumn they are taking 'One Georgie Orwell' to a theatre on the lower east side of Manhattan. They are looking to crowdfund towards the cost of the theatre hire, which is £3,000.
Please give what you can, and help five South East Londoners take it to New York!
Your pledges large or small would be great.and much appreciated
Thanks for your support, everyone.
