Aim
To bring back brewing to Ross on Wye that lost its last brewery in 1956 albeit on a smaller artisan scale.
Since taking on and renovating the old Alton Court Brewery Tap House, we have been increasingly aware of the links with Alton Court Brewery the last brewer in Ross on Wye which ceased brewing in 1956.
We would now like to bring back brewing to Ross on Wye albeit on a smaller more artisan scale, to enable us to do this we need capital to convert what was the old living accommodation to fully functioning micro brewery.
A name has been chosen for the brewery this being Motley Hog brewing company which reflects the links with Mott the group and the hedgehog symbol of Ross on Wye.
