Aim

This project aims to raise funds to place lifesaving defibrillators throughout the parish.

Every second counts during a cardiac arrest.

Brain cells start to die within just 3 minutes, but with access to a defibrillator in those critical first moments, the chance of survival can increase by up to 70%

We believe everyone in our community deserves access to this life-saving equipment. With your support, we can raise funds needed to install defibrillators and help make our parish one of the safest places to be in the UK.

Please help us give our community the best possible chance when every second matters.

Why this Matters

Immediate CPR can triple survival rates, and we are already providing CPR training for local residents. Our next priority is improving access to life-saving defibrillators across the parish.

When used within the first three minutes of a cardiac arrest, an AED can increase the chance of survival by up to 70%. Every minute without defibrillation can reduce survival rates by up to 10%.

Currently, there is only one AED in Leek Wootton, with none in Hill Wootton or Guy’s Cliffe. Our aim is to install five additional defibrillators so they can be reached quickly in an emergency. To achieve this, we are raising £12,000, which will go directly towards supply and installation. Any funds raised above our target will be used for future maintenance.
