Long Exposure Magazine publishes and promotes the very best contemporary creative writing, photography and visual art from around the world.
Long Exposure Magazine was founded in 2014 to feature creative writing, photography and the visual arts, and explore the ways in which they can interact; how writing responds to other art forms and vice versa, and what new possibilities arise.
With your help, Long Exposure can:
-Expand on and publish a high-quality digital magazine, featuring a diverse range of new poetry, fiction, photography and visual art from the U.K and around the world, and promote those who are creating it. Long Exposure also provides a space for innovative and boundary breaking projects which combine these fields and which would be unsuitable for publication in traditional magazines. With enough funds raised we can also move to a regular print publication.
-Expand Long Exposure Publications to produce high-quality digital art books. Our first manuscript combines the haiku poetry of acclaimed Irish writer Gabriel Rosenstock with the mesmeric landscape photography of American photographer Ron Rosenstock. With your help, we can make this project a reality and open up Long Exposure Publications to new manuscripts as an independent press.
-Set up a scheme to host a new Writer in Residence and Artist in Residence every 6 months, to make Long Exposure's online presence a vibrant space for creativity and collaboration in these fields.
-Establish the Long Exposure Prize, for exceptional and innovative writing which engages with the visual arts.
With your support, we can achieve these aims and continue to build a thriving platform for literature and the arts.
