We're raising funds to keep the amazing Fairy King sculpture at Rushmere Country Park forever!
Help us #KeeptheKing at Rushmere Country Park!
The Fairy King, created from the bough of an ancient fallen oak by local wood carver Ian Freemantle, is 12 feet high. He's an imposing but friendly figure and was lent to The Greensand Trust to mark the start of our extremely popular woodland Sculpture Trail and look after the many small but mischievous fairies living on the site.
We would love to keep this fantastic sculpture which has been a real hit with visitors of all ages. If we can raise the funds, he will remain in his favoured spot, watching over the park and its visitors, while keeping an eye on the fairies living behind the fairy doors.
