Help save Itchen Valley Brewery - let's raise a minimum of £50k via our IVB Membership and kickstart new exciting projects.

ABOUT US

We are Itchen Valley Brewery, a craft brewer in the heart of Hampshire. The impact of Covid-19 has devastated our industry. Government help has been very limited, as the majority of support offered to the hospitality sector has not included brewers.

We have been fighting against the tide for almost a year – and we are now reaching out to our loyal customers and all beer enthusiasts, to help us fight back.

THERE IS A PLAN …

•    Our focus is currently on direct sales to you, with a core range of 8 superb beers plus seasonal offerings

•    We are developing a ‘Test Lab’ to tempt the market with new beers and styles of brewing

•    A focussed Canned Range is at R&D stage, with a potential launch date in May

•    The IVB Spirits Collection is being designed to support our established craft beer range

We are appealing for you to help as we aim to raise at least £50,000 to allow IVB to fulfil this plan, whilst covering all the day-to-day costs to keep the brewery trading.

A LITTLE BIT OF THE BREWERY HISTORY …

Many good ideas hit people like a bolt of lightning, a stroke of genius or a diamond bullet of inspiration.

The idea for our brewery was a little less dramatic; it was the result of a chat between two friends sharing a little down-time and a couple of mediocre beers. That was back in 1997. It was then the idea of forming a brewery and making our own proper beer began to ferment.

A pledge was made and a vision was born. Within weeks, a site was found and the equipment was purchased. The following year, our first real brew, ‘Godfathers', won an award at the Great British Beer Festival in the 'Best Ale in Britain’ category.

Over 20 years on, more than 30 million pints and a brewery relocation later, IVB continues to innovate and thrive. Nestled in the heart of Hampshire, we passionately brew an unrivalled range of award-winning real ales with pure Hampshire water, yeast and barley along with the finest hops from around the country and the world - we are immensely proud of what we brew here at Itchen Valley Brewery.

Without community funding via our ‘Membership Scheme’ or a simple donation, we might be fighting an unwinnable battle, so please support Itchen Valley Brewery through this unprecedented and relentless trading storm.

HERE IS THE CHALLENGE …

Covid-19 has stopped hospitality in its tracks, and restrictions look set to stay for the coming months. The Brewery Industry is facing the biggest challenge it has ever faced and without support from the community, we may have to close our doors.

Put simply we are struggling and the next few months are genuinely critical to keeping IVB open - huge thanks to our brilliant customers who visit the Tap Room and our trade customers, still fighting a good fight, but this is not enough at this moment in time.

AND AT THE RISK OF REPEATING …

We aren’t taking this lying down - while pub doors are closed and hotel and restaurant bars cordoned off, we’ve been building new trading partnerships and will continue to do so.

We have introduced new brews, are planning the Canned Range now and running recipe tests for Gin and Rum.

So, while we focus on our product development and new channels to market, we are thanking you all in advance for your help by becoming an IVB Member - and as a thank you, we will unlock some incredible Crowdfunding rewards.
