CAMPAIGN GOALS.Providing a shelter for Syrian Orphan Family in Istanbul- Keeping them Warm for Winter
CAMPAIGN GOALS.
Our objective to raise £525 from 60 people in one 4 weeks.
This fund will be used to pay for one year rent for one full apartments for some escapees of the Syrian war to Turkey.
I am Maha Khan posting for http://waragainsteatingdisorder.com (Please check out this link to know much about the site and what we do).
We already posted many articles about what escapees from Syria faced in Istanbul, Gaziantep, and later, extreme case of an eating disorder in Lahore. These people in Turkey are the victims of war in Syria and have managed to get their life held with teeth, to escape through the borders to Istanbul.
We have been to them at Turkey twice last year, 2015 thanks to people like you who raised the funds to provide for their clothes against winter. These people were so immersed with happiness when and they felt like they are no longer alone.
We refer to these people as the ‘Bound Souls in our world’ in one of our blog titles posted sometimes ago when we visited them.
See here: http://waragainsteatingdisorder.com/2015/11/13/the-crying-freeborn-bound-lives-in-our-world/

We were able to raise funds from people of kind hearts like you that paid for wooly clothes which we distributed to these people to fight winter. They are all squeezed up in apartments, living in hope of ever wishing their nightmares are gone. Health, deteriorating due to overcrowding.
My trip to Gaziantep was a horrific, yet, memorable. A 15 years girl playing motherly roles –just too young to live like that.
We weren’t strong enough to absorb all that we saw and heard pathetic stories of reality with lots of grim within me and cold rashes all over my skin. I interviewed many and their stories have been relayed to many across the world through my Eating Disorder Recovery Blog.
We have the privilege to be there, to hear them speak, of their ordeals, their life, their hope and most importantly, the relief that they still hold firmly to their faith, despite all that had come their way. That was the sigh of relief I got from them.
After spending time with them and much interview, they told me of inconveniences and overcrowding due to small space to occupy. Imagine 7-8 people living in a small room, sleeping on concrete floor and thin mattresses daily?

The Issue
The essence of this crowd funding is to ask for help to raise funds and get this Syrian Orphan family another apartment in more liveable condition and with secure roof, to reduce the number of people sharing same rooms and to save the family from bitter Istanbul Cold. These people pay exorbitant amount of money just to maintain where they are and are not being treated nicely.

We hope to get these funds for this project from people before the end of January, 2016 so that we can pay for their new accommodations as the year starts.
We have thought of how to we can make them have better and comfortable life despite the feeling of being forgotten and that people don’t know that they exist.
Please, let us collectively raise these funds to give them hope to better roof over their heads in this New Year.
We can pull collective financial power to raise the funds for their accommodation. Your money can/will make a difference; we solely trust that kind hearted people like you and others reading this will have compassion and join in the move to be our brother’s keepers.
Please, share, tweet, and post this to people out there asking for their supports and money.
Thank you in anticipation.

We all can be their friends in need alleviating their lack and shake off their shackles, putting smiles on their faces.

You need to see what they look like when you see them happy -Those orphans and grannies that had lost their children to the war, the young girls forced to early marriages just to survive and have their soul.
We can show them love that they least expect, we can save them from their traumas.
