Flashmob To Help Young Carers

A Community project Bath

We aim to bring the awareness of the issues and hardships faced by young carers closer to where they should be. We will be organising and dancing in Bath's biggest ever flashmob to raise awareness among busy christmas shoppers. The money that we desperately need is for promotional T-shirts and other awareness materials. So please help us out and enjoy the fuzzy feeling you'll get from improving a number of young carers' Christmas.

Our team of seven have set out with the challenge of raising awareness levels surrounding the issues faced by young carers.

A young carer is a child aged 5-18 who has been burdened with the responsibility of looking after an ill family member. They can become isolated, with no relief from the pressures at home, and no chance to enjoy a normal childhood. They are often afraid to ask for help as they fear letting the family down or being taken into care.

How do we correct this? We are organising and dancing in the biggest Flashmob Bath has ever seen to bring awareness levels to something closer to where they should be. The streets will be packed full of Christmas shoppers so it will be impossible to ignore!

We are working closely with the friends of young carers in Bath so really truly understand what needs to happen to help these children.

So how can you help us out? The money that we require is for promotional t-shirts and awareness material for all the dancers involved. If in the fortunate case we exceed our target, all additional money will go straight to the charity and will make such a difference to the young carers’ lives.

Please check out the range of rewards we have for your generosity and please know that the money that you pledge will be used responsibly and permanently improve the prospects for these young carers.

A MASSIVE thank you from all the team and we really look forward to sharing our progress with you!
